About St Lucy

Santa Lucia, also known as Patron Saint of Syracuse, is the protectress of the blind and opticians. As fate would have it, the very first Lucy of Syracuse frame was crafted on 13th December, the day dedicated to Saint Lucy and no other name could have better baptised our creations.

All of our eyewear is meticulously crafted by hand in Italy thanks to the savoir-faire of our artisans and  the creativity of our designers. Time, passion and precision are required for each and every frame because what we are aiming for is quality, not quantity.  Only the finest materials sourced in different parts of the world are used for the making of a Lucy of Syracuse frame. Cellulose acetate, metal, sterling silver, gold, titanium and natural horn are masterfully combined by our for the making of our creations.
